Interior design for short-term rentals

The photographs are what get booked.
We design for them.

I work with property owners, investors, and property managers to help short-term rentals perform — creating beautiful, easy-to-market spaces that photograph well, attract bookings, and protect the investment.

Every decision — the headboard, the lamp temperature, the corner that becomes the hero shot — gets made against one question: does this make the listing impossible to scroll past?

How we work together

Find what isn't working. Fix the room. Raise the rate.

Housewell Interiors partners with owners, investors, and property managers who want their spaces to look beautiful and market themselves.

I

Property Walkthrough

A room-by-room read on what's costing you bookings — flow, lighting, texture, and the shot that leads the listing. You leave with a ranked list of changes and what each one is worth.

II

Full Design & Install

Concept, sourcing, and install for properties that need a complete reset. Delivered styled, photographed, and ready to list.

III

Pre-Purchase Review

Before you close: what the property can become, what it costs to get there, and what nightly rate that level of finish supports in the market.

Furnishing Budget

A line-item budget by room, split into fund-now and defer, so the money lands where guests look, photograph, and book.

About

About McKenzie

I'm McKenzie, and Housewell is me.

When you work with Housewell, you work directly with me — no account managers, no handoffs, no layers between the person designing your property and the person making the decisions.

I come from the investor side of the table, so I look at design through a different lens. Design conversations sound like capital conversations. What does it cost? What does it change? What does it return? And, just as importantly, what can we skip?

Some clients hand me an empty property. Some clients hand me a struggling rental. Both are looking for the same thing: a property that performs.

For the past eight years, I've worked in and around the short-term rental industry — from property management and cleaning to marketing, operations, and helping owners optimize the performance of their investments. I've seen these properties from just about every angle, and I've learned what actually moves the needle for owners and guests.

That's the perspective I bring to Housewell: design that looks good, works hard, and makes sense as an investment.
